What does a superhero mask look like when you strip away the comic book stylization and render it with obsessive realism? This personal project explores that idea — designing masks with different materials and studying how they behave under extreme close-up.
From intricate scales catching light at every angle to the soft, light-absorbing surface of velvet, each render is a deep dive into material behavior. The goal was not just to create a character design, but to push 3D rendering into a space where texture becomes the story.
